있다가 나오다 — being somewhere a while and then coming out — fills half these lines, usually to explain a contrast you feel on emerging: 저기 안에 있다가 나오니까 엄청 눈 부시네 "coming out from in there, it's blinding", 따뜻한 데 있다가 나오니까 졸려 "coming out of the warmth makes me sleepy". -다가 marks the switch from being in to being out. 어디 갇혀 있다가 나온 애처럼 is "like someone just let out of confinement".
