Two shapes. The passive 다고 알려져 있다 or 알려진 states a received fact without naming a source, which is the phrasing of documentaries and explainers: 유산소 운동은 살을 빼는 데 아주 좋다고 알려져 있죠 'cardio is known to be great for losing weight', '성'이라는 게 처음 만들어졌다고 알려진 곳은 중국이래요. The active 알려주다 is one person telling another: 지 박사가 저한테 잠버릇이 진짜 많다고 알려줬어요.
