다고 보다

'Take the view that…'

Same as 라고 보다 but after a verb or adjective: it states a judgement rather than a fact. 웬만한 멘털이 아니면 저는 힘들다고 보거든요 'I take the view that it's hard unless you're mentally tough', 어떻게 변해가고 있다고 보십니까? 'how do you see things changing?' The polite hedge 그렇다고 볼 수 있습니다 'you could say so' is a staple of interviews and commentary.
