go in and come back out

-다(가) links one action switching straight into the next, and 들어갔다 나오다 "go in and come out again" is the main shape here: 들어갔다 나온 사이 북적이는 광장 "the square filled up while they were inside", 100위 안에 들어갔다 나왔다 하고 있어 "it keeps bobbing in and out of the top 100". Separately, the doubled exclamation 나왔다 나왔다 — "there it is! it's out!" — appears twice as a shout when something finally shows up.
