Where this really is 자다 'sleep', the -아/어 verb in front says how you sleep: 누워 자다 sleep lying down, 벽에 붙어 자 'sleep up against the wall', 몰아 자다 'sleep it all in one go, binge-sleep'. Be careful with the lookalike: several of these lines contain no 자다 at all but the quoted suggestion -자는 'saying let's ___' (가자는, 나가자는, 달려가자는), which sounds identical.
