어 멈추다

stop, come to a halt

멈추다 is motion ceasing — a person, an engine, the world. Most of these lines are the bare shouted 멈춰!, 'stop!'. Where something precedes it, that something is the cause: 힘들어 멈춘 VJ 'the cameraman who stopped because it was too much', 반도 못 가 멈춘 엔진 'an engine that quit before it was halfway'. 세상은 날 위해 멈추지 않아 is 'the world doesn't stop for me'.
