Keep pushing it forward or outward

나가다 'go out' added to a verb sends the action forward over time or outward through space: 조금 만들어 나가고 있는 단계 'the stage of gradually building one up', 빠르게 퍼져나가 'spreading fast outward.' One line here defines the most useful example itself — 헤쳐 나가다 means getting through something hard and moving on. Physically it also means breaking away: 파편들이 떨어져 나갔을 거야 'fragments must have come off.'
