가지고 오다 and 가지고 가다 are bringing or taking something with you, and the -아서/어서 clause gives the reason: 에티랑 같이 듣고 싶어서 가지고 왔습니다 (I brought it because I wanted to listen to it with Eti), 혹시나 해서 가지고 (I brought it just in case). Note that 해서 and 해가지고 also work as pure spoken filler meaning 'so', which is what 많이 힘들었어서가지고 is doing.
