어서 갚다

earn it and pay it back

갚다 is repaying what you owe, and -아서/어서 supplies the step that makes repayment possible: 돈 벌어서 갚다 "earn it and pay it back," 따서 갚다 "win it and pay it back," 한국 가서 갚겠습니다 "I'll pay you back once we're in Korea." Every line here is about money owed — borrowing, debt, being chased for it. The tone ranges from a casual promise between friends to complaints about people who borrow and never repay (돈 빌려 가서 갚지도 않는 것들이).
