The -어서 verb says how or where the reading happens. 소리 내서 읽다 "read aloud" — literally "make a sound and read" — is the set phrase, and it appears twice here as study advice. 감정을 넣어서 읽다 is reading with expression, putting the feeling in. The plainer use is location: 집에 가서 읽어 "read it once you're home", 가져가서 읽다 "take it with you and read it".
