Half these lines are hyperbole: 떨려서 죽겠는데 "I'm dying of nerves", 어색해서 죽을 맛 "so awkward it's killing me", 배 아파서 죽는 줄 알았어 "my stomach hurt so much I thought I'd die". The -겠 ending and 죽을 맛 are the giveaway that nobody is actually dying. The other lines are literal cause of death — 물에 빠져서 죽었습니다 "drowned". Talking respectfully about a real death, Koreans switch to 돌아가시다; 죽다 is blunt.
