The -어서 verb is what you did to make the meeting happen: 연락해서 만나다 "get in touch and meet up", 여기서 약속해서 만났을 거야 "they must have arranged to meet right here", 시간 내서 만나러 와주시고 "taking the time to come and meet me". 인연이 돼서 만났어요 is meeting through a connection or a shared project. 만나다 takes 을/를 or 와/과 for the person you meet, never 에게.
