어서 맞히다

-아/어서 says by what means, and 맞히다 is landing on the right answer: 둘 중 하나인데 이걸 찍어서 맞혔네 'it was a coin flip and he guessed it right', 추리해서 맞힌 척 'pretending to have worked it out'. 맞히다 also means hitting a target physically, which is the sense in 공을 던져서 맞히면 무효, 'hitting them with a thrown ball doesn't count'.
