Gives the reason you cannot answer, and it is most useful as a polite way to bow out of a topic: 저는 못 겪어봐서 몰라요 'I haven't been through it, so I wouldn't know', 이분이랑 둘이 연애 이야기나 이런 것들을 안 해봐서 몰라요. The reason is usually a negative — something you have not tried, watched, or done. It also covers plain ignorance with a cause: 네, 기계가 너무 복잡해서 모르겠어요 'the machine is too complicated for me.'
