날리다 is the causative of 날다 'to fly' — making something fly, letting it go, or driving it off. -아/어서 says by what means: 접어서 날리는 'fold it and throw it', 풍선을 둥실둥실 떠서 날리는 'float balloons up and let them go'. It also covers getting rid of something: 보드카를 끓여서 날리고 'boil the vodka off', and in 날려버리다, destroying it outright — 폭격을 해서 날려버렸어요.
