놓다 is setting something down in a spot. The -어서 verb says how it gets there: 끌어서 놓다 is drag and drop, 세워서 놓다 is standing it upright, 덜어서 놓다 is portioning some out and setting it aside, 풀어서 놓다 is unpacking and placing. One line uses the separate sense of 놓다 used for giving an injection.
