어 씌우다

pin the blame on someone

씌우다 is putting a covering over something, and in the compounds 뒤집어씌우다 and 덮어씌우다 it means dumping blame onto another person: 전 대표한테 싹 다 뒤집어씌우고, 근데 너희들이 덮어 씌운 거 아니야, 꽃뱀한테 이렇게 뒤집어 씌워가지고. The literal sense of throwing something over someone is right there too: 얼굴에 물을 뒤집어씌워, 아빠한테 똥물 뒤집어씌우는. It is an accusing word — the person it lands on did not deserve it.
