Also spelled eotwida, ottwida

run after it; also skip over

The verb before -어 says how, or after what, you run: 따라 뛰다 "run along after someone", 사람들이 모여 뜁니다 "people gather and run", 4번 보기를 향해 뛰었지만 "she made a dash for option 4". The compound worth memorising is 건너뛰다 "skip over" — 코스를 몇 개 건너 뛰었더니, "I skipped a few lessons and got completely lost". Two lines are just the doubled command 뛰어 뛰어, which is "run!" or "jump!" depending on the moment.
