은가 보다

seems that way, I'm guessing

A guess drawn from what you can see, about someone or something other than yourself: 이 맛이 좀 인기가 많은가봐 "this flavour seems to be the popular one", 지금 막 나왔을 때 먹는 게 좋은가봐요 "so it's better eaten fresh, apparently". This matters for wanting: Korean does not let you state another person's desire flatly, so you say 시크하고 싶은가 봐요, "you seem to want to look chic today". -은가 보다 goes with describing words; -나 보다 is the version for action verbs.
