게 뱉다

spit out; blurt out words

뱉다 is spitting something out, used both literally — spitting out a pill, a sharp exhale — and for words leaving your mouth: 나긋하게 뱉은 세 글자 'three words said softly', 누나가 이렇게 뱉은 말 'what she came out with'. The -게 adverb says in what manner. Applied to speech it carries a hint that the words are now out and cannot be taken back.
