게 대다

hold it up against something

대다 is bringing one thing into contact with another, and the "-게" adverb says how. Most lines are literal: hold it here like this, I'll put it against my cheek if I get toothache, I remember holding it up to my nose. Parking is the same verb — pull in nice and wide is easy parking — as is hitting a target squarely. Watch for two lines that are different verbs: 소중하게 대하다 is 대하다 "treat someone", and 이렇게 대드는 is 대들다 "answer back".
