About how you behave toward someone: 따뜻하게 대하다 "treat them warmly", 불공정하게 대하다 "treat them unfairly", 교양 있게 대합시다 "let's be civil with each other". 이렇게 대하다 shows up in complaints — 왜 나를 이렇게 대하시나요? "why are you treating me like this?". The same verb inside the common phrase ~에 대해서 means "about", not "treat", so do not read the two together.
