jab, poke, or stab it

An adverb in "-게" plus 찌르다, "pierce, poke, jab". The literal use covers a needle, a nose swab, and shoving a surfboard in; a sports caption uses it for a batted ball drilled deep into the gap. It also goes figurative: 옆에서 이렇게 찌를 것입니다 is prodding someone from the sidelines, and 정곡을 예리하게 찌르시네요 is hitting the point exactly — 정곡을 찌르다 is the fixed phrase for putting your finger right on it.
