게 마르다

be thin; be dry

마르다 covers two things that share a word. Of a person it is being thin — 왜 이렇게 마르셨어요? 'why are you so slim?' — usually said as an observation or a compliment, and it stays in the past form 말랐다 because it describes a state. Of laundry or anything wet it is drying: 진짜 뽀송뽀송 기분 좋게 마르잖아요, 'it dries lovely and fluffy'.
