게 묻히다

묻히다 is getting something onto a surface — toothpaste onto the brush, flour spread evenly over what you are frying, seasoning worked through a side dish. The same word also means being buried, or of a person being overshadowed and lost from view, which the first caption jokes about. The -게 slot gives the manner: 고르게 (evenly), 과감하게 (boldly).
