게 늙다

늙다 is growing old, and the -게 slot says how it goes: 멋있게 늙어가다, ageing well, is what people say they want, while 빠르게 늙어가다 is a group or a population ageing fast. The word is blunt — these lines apply it to an old cow and to a society, and calling a person 늙었다 to their face is not a compliment.
