게 높이다

raise it, crank it up

높이다 is making a level higher — volume (앰프 볼륨을 크게 높이고), a rate or a ceiling (공제한도를 엄청나게 높이고, 현역 판정 비율을 크게 높였다고), the energy in a room (여기서 텐션을 어떻게 높일 수 있을까?), or someone's self-regard. The -게 adverb gives the amount: 크게, 엄청나게 "enormously," 급격하게 "sharply," or 어떻게 "how." 올리다 is the everyday "put it up"; 높이다 specifically pushes a level upward.
