게 식다

식다 is something losing its heat: a body chilling right after a hot shower, a drink someone warmed up and then forgot. Of feelings it is going off someone — 쉽게 식다 is falling out of love as fast as you fell into it. 짜게 식다 is slang for a mood suddenly dying on the spot. Two lines here apply the same word to markets going cold.
