drop something, on purpose or not

떨어뜨리다 is the causative of 떨어지다 — you make something fall — and the "-게" adverb says how. Accidental dropping: why do you keep dropping things, do you have tremors; he drops stuff every time he eats; it dropped like that and the glass broke. Deliberate: whoever drops the fewest balls wins, the one who dropped it exactly on target, drip it like honey. It also goes figurative for talking something down — words that drag its value down.
