게 튀다

stand out, be flashy

튀다 is literally bouncing or splashing, but in everyday use it means standing out from everyone else — often more than you intended: 별나면 되게 쟤 왜 이렇게 튀어? 쟤 뭐야?, 이렇게 튀는 무대의상이 등장하는 이유가 뭘까요?, 되게 튀어요. It cuts both ways: 확실히 독보적이게 튄다 is admiring, while 그렇게 튀는 옷 입는다고 해서 is closer to a complaint. One line uses it for a spike rather than a person (도파민이 어쩜 이렇게 튈 수가 있니?).
