여기다 is holding something to be a certain way in your own estimation, and -게 supplies what you hold it to be: 중요하게 여기다 'consider important', 소중하게 여기다 'treasure', 가볍게 여기다 'make light of', 자랑스럽게 여기다 'take pride in'. 생각하다 is the general 'think'; 여기다 specifically assigns a value or a status to something. One line here contains 여기서 'from here' rather than this verb at all — it only looks the same.
