게 열리다

열리다 is the passive of 열다: a door or a container comes open (떡 가운데를 열어서 이렇게 열리죠), a place is open rather than enclosed (이렇게 열린 장소), a mind opens (마음이 쉽게 열리겠어요), or an event is held (의도치 않게 열린 동창회, an unintended reunion). -게 supplies the manner. Use 열다 when someone does the opening and 열리다 when it happens or is put on.
