"-고" links a manner or a means to 달려가다, "run toward". The lines split between literal travel — gliding along on a cloud, riding the GTX line — and pushing toward a goal: I just fixed on that one thing and ran for it, just look straight ahead and run, I keep going at it diligently without giving up. In the figurative use it is an approving word for single-minded effort, so it turns up in interviews about how someone works.
