고 자라다

grow up on something

자라다 is a person growing up by themselves, the partner of 키우다 "raise someone". 나고 자라다 "born and raised" is the fixed phrase for where you are from — 공주에서 나고 자란 박찬호. The -고 clause is what filled your childhood: 치킨 먹고 자랐고 "I grew up on fried chicken", 듣고 자랐던 "what we grew up listening to", 사랑받고 자란 느낌 "the air of someone raised with a lot of love". It is a compact way to say what shaped you.
