고 사라지다

do something and then vanish

"-고" chains an action to 사라지다 "disappear". The pattern is doing something and being gone: cut off all contact and disappear, scatter the identity-theft scam and vanish, shred even the original and vanish, two cards come out and then it's gone. It also carries reproach for leaving without doing the decent thing — 소개는 그래도 하고 사라지셔야죠, "you should at least introduce yourself before you disappear", and a caption about the younger ones vanishing on the eldest while he plans.
