고 따르다

watch and copy; go along with

따르다 covers both following someone's lead and imitating them. Four of these lines are the fixed 보고 따라 하다 'watch it and copy it' — 잘 보고 따라 하시면서 'watch closely and follow along'. The compliance sense shows in 먼저 물어보고 따르는 게 편해요? 'is it easier to ask first and then go along with it?'. 따라다니다 in the first line is 'follow someone around'.
