-자마자 is "the instant X happens," and with 알다 it says recognition was immediate, with no working out required: 근데 저 듣자마자 알았어요, 딱 보자마자 알 수 있어요, 들어가자마자 알았습니다. Quiz and explanation lines use it to promise the answer will be obvious: 뭘 뜻하는지는 보자마자 알겠죠?, 아마 딱 듣자마자 아실 거예요.
