면 걸리다

걸리다 is one thing catching on another, and with a condition in front the usual reading is getting caught out: '가면 걸린다' 이렇게 막 인식이 퍼져가지, 말 걸면 걸리는구나~?, 뭐 이런 데 가면 걸릴 수 있는 거. The same verb also means simply hanging there, which is the sense in [오더] 거기 보면 걸려있어 and 어디 돌아다니다 보면 걸려. Both senses come from the same image of something hooking onto something else, so the object tells you which one you are hearing.
