-(으)면서 gives what was going on during the making, and in these lines it is usually what was on the maker's mind: 따라 부르는 걸 생각하면서 만들었어요 (I made it thinking about people singing along), 버릇에 대해서 생각을 하면서 만들어봤어요. It can also be the method (원재료를 쓰시면서 만드셨어요, she made it using raw ingredients) or the source consulted (유튜브 같은 거 보면서 만드시는 스타일).
