Attaches to a describing form to mean pretending: 모른 척하다 "act like you didn't notice", 안 들리는 척 "pretend not to hear", 친한 척 해 "act like we're close". The one to memorise is 잘난 척하다 — showing off, acting superior — which three lines use, twice as the rebuke 잘난 척 하지 마 "quit showing off". 척 can also appear as 체: 모른 체하다 means exactly the same thing.
