ㄴ데 하다

thinking "hmm, but…" — quoted

Quotes a half-formed thought — the kind that ends in -ㄴ데/-는데 with its trailing "but…" — and reports it with 하다: 저거 다칠텐데 했는데 "I kept thinking, that's got to hurt", 익숙한 비주얼이 아닌데 하면서 "thinking, that's not what I'm used to". This is the inner-monologue quotative, so the quoted part is usually left dangling and unfinished. 미국이 그거 내 건데 하고 있고 is America going "hang on, that one's mine".
