-(으)ㄴ데 supplies background or a concession, and 오다 is coming — so what the pairing does depends on the background. Sometimes it thanks someone who came despite an obstacle: 그래서 좀 머셨을 텐데 와주셔서 감사합니다. Sometimes it objects that they came anyway, or came expecting the wrong thing: 지금 시대가 어느 때인데 와서 현장 박치기를 한다고?, 런 클럽인데 오는 사람들이 클럽을 더 원하네?. It is the ordinary background ending in front of a very common verb rather than a set phrase.
