-ㄴ 듯이 means 'as if', so 미친 듯이 하다 is going at something as if you had lost your mind — flat out, obsessively. Seven of these eight lines are that exact phrase, about throwing yourself into work, into a game, into buying. The eighth uses the pattern literally, describing a surface that looks as if it has been coated.
