는 거 도와주다

help someone with something

A relative clause in "-는 거" ("the doing of X") as the object of 도와주다 "help". It is the plainest way to name what the help is for, and most lines here are offers or requests: can you help me practise Korean, shall I help you pack, shall I help with your bags, will you help me build it. It also scales up — the US saying it'll help push the nuclear submarine along. Compare 도록 도와주다, which frames the help around the outcome rather than the activity.
