는 곳 있다

is there a place where...?

Describes a place by what happens there, then asks or asserts that such a place exists: 근처에 물 살 수 있는 곳 있어요? 'is there somewhere nearby I can buy water?'. Several lines here are traveller questions of exactly that shape. The rest end in 있잖아/있죠/있잖아요 and do something different — they remind the listener of a place they both know, as a setup for what comes next. 곳 is the neutral word for a spot or location, a shade more written-sounding than 데.
