니까 먹다

eat it because ~

-(으)니까 gives the reason for eating and 먹다 follows. Often the reason is that the food is worth trying (진짜 많은 사랑을 받고 있는 요리니까 먹어보기 좋을 것 같고요), and often it is defensive — you only ate because circumstances pushed you: 주니까 먹은 거였어? (you ate it just because I kept offering?), M.T. 오니까 먹는 거지 (I only eat because we're on a trip).
