-ㄴ/은/는지 marks an open question — whether, what, who — and 하다 finishes it off two different ways here. With 해보다 it means try it and find out: 제가 한번 진짜인지 해보겠습니다, 어떤지 해보고 그래요. More often, X인지 뭔지 하는 is a dismissive way of naming something you can't be bothered to get right: 니들이 케이지 프리인지 뭔지 해가지고, 두 나라가 UFC인지 WWE인지 하는 건지. That second use carries a shrug, so it is not neutral.
