The flip side of 줄 알다: you did not realise something was so. 제 목소리가 이렇게 큰 줄 몰랐어요 "I hadn't realised my voice was this loud", 방을 따로 예약한 줄 몰랐어요 "I didn't know you'd booked a separate room". 이 정도인 줄 몰랐어 — "I had no idea it was this bad" — is the stock line for being blindsided. The -ㄴ/-은 form covers a state or a finished action; 는 줄 모르다 is for something going on at the time.
