even just one; any at all?

-라도 lowers the bar to "even, at least": 한 명이라도 있으면 좋다 "it's good to have even one person", 재미라도 있어야 "at least make it fun, then". In questions it turns into a vague "any at all" — 무슨 좋은 일이라도 있어? "has something good happened, or what?", 자리라도 있나 슬쩍 한번 물어봐 봐 "just pop in and see if they've even got a table". Because it settles for the minimum, it often carries a note of resignation.
