Nearly every line here is a text being read back: '원래 거는 취소해요' 라고 보냈어요, 나한테 문자도 지안 씨라고 보냈더라고 'he even texted me calling me Ji An.' 뭐라고 보냈는데요 is the natural way to ask what somebody wrote. One line uses a different sense — 필리핀을 영어 공부하라고 보냈는데, sending a person somewhere for a purpose rather than sending words.
